So, why the lemon?
I’m glad you asked.
I’m one of those lucky people who can honestly say, I love my job.
For more than 20 years, I’ve made a living drawing, animating and scribing — quite literally, my dream job. It’s taken me around the world, giving me the opportunity to turn ideas, conversations and complex concepts into something people can actually see, understand and remember.
Eleven of those years were spent working within a large corporate organisation — and, surprisingly, it became one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.
I had the privilege of scribing for Prime Ministers, CEOs and celebrities, creating illustrations and animations for some of the world’s biggest companies, and using visual storytelling to support workshops for businesses, charities and organisations working to make a difference.
Then, after 11 years, my role was no longer needed and it was time for a change.
As I left, one familiar phrase came to mind:
“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”
So that’s exactly what I decided to do.
